May is the month of interventions to better prepare the turf to withstand and overcome summer stress. We must act in advance to avoid difficulties arising with the first summer heat.
First it is necessary to plan some treatments to limit the onset of broadleaf weeds and then distribute anti-sprouting active ingredients to avoid the development of summer weeds. We recommend using these products combined with Always and Pre Stress biostimulants from Bottos which amplify their effectiveness against weeds and preserve the turf from any residual phytotoxicity.
Then towards the end of the month and until the first half of June it is the turn of potassium fertilization which will prepare the lawn for the high temperatures that will come. In case of late sowing, the use of treated seeds is recommended.
